ABOUT CABIN CANDLERY PRODUCTS

Our candles have always been, and always will be, hand mixed and hand poured…..”Handmade from start to finish”.

Cabin Candlery produces candles with the highest toss of fragrance, using their naturally accelerated essences that are infused with essential oils.  Each fragrance is matched to its proper dye and they are mixed by hand, using only the highest quality of paraffin wax available.  The fine essences that give our candles their high fragrance and natural aroma, are made by expert perfumers.  The brilliant colors in our candles come from highly condensed dyes, specially selected for their natural hues.  We do not use plastic additives.  The results are candles that have a more natural fragrance and will burn cleaner and longer.

OUR HISTORY

Cabin Candlery established their company in 1994 through the dreams of two people, Joanne & Dick Brown. Through education and determination, they discovered their recipe for “creating the finest hand poured candles made in the U.S.A.” …and, it all started in their garage!

Eventually, they outgrew the “garage” and moved into a small building to continue on with their dream.  It wasn’t too long after that  these Master Candle Crafters were moving again, only this time, their dream took them to a 10,000 square foot factory in Raymond, ME, where they became one of the biggest employers of that town for many years.

The bump in the road…they were moving again, but this time it was due to Dick becoming ill.  It was a sad time for their friends, their employees and Raymond, ME, but his illness left them no choice.  First they moved their business to North Carolina, where their family was, then to Florida, having to downsize the business greatly.  For the next couple of years, Joanne was trying to continue with their dream, but as Dick’s condition worsened, she knew it was just a matter of time before she would have to leave the dream behind.  In September of 2008, they decided to close the business.  Graciously, putting their decision and final sales up on their website, you could almost hear Joanne’s heart breaking in her words.

Dick lost the battle with his illness in October, 2008…BUT NOT BEFORE HIM KNOWING that his hard work, determination and his dream will be carried on.

As the new owners of Cabin Candlery, it gives us great pleasure in sharing with you that, Master Candle Crafter and one of the originators of Cabin Candlery, Mrs. Joanne Brown, is part of our team.  She will insure that we continue “creating the finest hand poured candles made in the U.S.A.”   Do miracles happen?  One just did….we get to keep providing to you “a dream that came true”!!

We genuinely appreciate all of your support and patience through this transition.
